I have often ignored the Crew as just another mass market hell hole to be avoided at all cost. But my last few trips there have revealed that not EVERYTHING is made in China, the quality of construction and fabrication seems to be on the rise, and the staff (including my sister at the Chestnut Hill store, ask for Meredith) are top notch. I hope their design team continues to turn out impeccable pieces of classic American sportswear while nurturing relationships with brands who bring some much needed high-end cache to the J. Crew name.
