Louis, leaving

You can't blame them.  Everyone has experienced that sinking feeling when the new trashy neighbors move in (I mean, Sunglasses Hut, what is this the Danvers mall?) and you realize that its time to find someplace hipper, someplacer newer, someplace far, far away from American Eagle.

The good people at Louis have come to that decision and I am very excited to see what plans they have for their new space.

But, I  wanted to take a moment to recount a few of the best things about Louis

-the old Dries Van Noten Room
-waiting in line for the 50% off sale each season and having your purchases stapled in a brown paper shopping bag.
- Rag and Bone before anyone else
- The great staff who was always more than willing to play dress up with me, even when I was flat broke

I will be in line on the 5th to try to snatch up some fly thing, and take one last stroll down the big stairs

  1. I stopped in. It's disturbing that the printouts with directions to their new store are driving-only. I realize that the super-rich probably all live in the 'burbs and drive, but us hoi polloi use the T ... and occasionally buy something. I don't see the new location being a success if this is their direction. They're going to lose a ton of foot traffic.
