The good people at Louis have come to that decision and I am very excited to see what plans they have for their new space.
But, I wanted to take a moment to recount a few of the best things about Louis
-the old Dries Van Noten Room
-waiting in line for the 50% off sale each season and having your purchases stapled in a brown paper shopping bag.
- Rag and Bone before anyone else
- The great staff who was always more than willing to play dress up with me, even when I was flat broke
I will be in line on the 5th to try to snatch up some fly thing, and take one last stroll down the big stairs
I totally agree. 100%.
ReplyDeleteI stopped in. It's disturbing that the printouts with directions to their new store are driving-only. I realize that the super-rich probably all live in the 'burbs and drive, but us hoi polloi use the T ... and occasionally buy something. I don't see the new location being a success if this is their direction. They're going to lose a ton of foot traffic.
