Went to the Sam Mendoza show last night at the Liberty. All women's wear, some very interesting. But the real discovery for me was after two years in Boston it turns out there is an actual fashion scene here.
The energy in the room was great, everyone was dressed to the teeth and it really energized me personally, professionally and creatively. As a designer Mr. Mendoza clearly has a developed viewpoint, it will be interesting to see how his vision transforms should he choose to move away from the one-off couture pieces he currently produces.
Event production was first rate, great use of space and old Depeche Mode.
Now the question remains, how do we get more of this into stuffy old Beantown?
